Nuno Espirito Santo sacked
Nottingham forest have sacked Nuno Espirito Santo after just 3 games into the new season despite having extended his contract in June of 2025. He also achieved a 7th place finish last season, Nottingham’s best finish in 30 years, helping them qualify for the Europa league. Santo’s relationship with owner Evangelos Marinakis and club leadership started to fall apart earlier this summer, which ultimately led to his sacking.
Ange Postecoglou appointed new manager
Just hours after Nuno’s sacking, it was announced that Ange Postecoglou would be taking over as Nottingham Forest’s new manager. He has signed a deal till 2027 after being released from Tottenham earlier this summer. Ange won the Europa league with Tottenham in the 2024-25 season, Tottenham’s first major trophy since winning the League cup in 2008. His first match in charge will be against Arsenal Saturday, September 13th.
